The Cup of Time
Here are the final renders for the Cup of Time mashup I made. Overall I'm pleased with the result even if I did have an outcome different than what I first intended. A big challenge, if not the only challenge I was met with was the glass/cup part of the mashup. Looking back it was actually an issue at every step of the project. First of all, it was too geometric and not glass really like. Then I could not find a decent regular cup. Then, since I had to make it, it kind of overtook the mashup part of the project which was definitely not desired. Finally, it didn't want to actually be glass. So I can with confidence say that even getting just actually getting an average result makes me happy. The rest of the materials actually make me very satisfied because the A) I do love the palette, B) I think the materials really complement each other in terms of visual texture and flow. I had quite some, to be totally honest, unexpected fun.
